Wow! Didn't realize how the creases would show - serves me right for being so lazy. Anyway this is my first Dresdan block and I really, really like making them. This was cut out of a charm pack and was very easy. I hand stitched the centres as I enjoy the stitching but another time I would use my machine. I have 3 more ready to bind. I would make a table runner next time.
Cloth Castle had their Quilt Club last Tuesday and here is the project for April:
I think it's lovely. It was made using a 9 degree wedge ruler and measures 36". Here is another pattern for the same ruler.
I didn't buy the ruler as I'm watching my pennies this week, but I do have a shorter one which makes 27" circles and comes with it's own pattern. Have added this pattern to my long list of must makes.
Here are my next project which I am going to make for a friend who loves both Japanese fabrics and blues and purples. I picked this pattern up at Sweet Pea in Ladysmith.
And here is the pattern I purchased from Carlotta's Thread Company at the West Shore Quilt Show in Langford earlier this year. I want to make it for my four year old grand daughter who will be visiting at Easter and all the fabrics were found in my sewing room. tada! But first it's the dreaded TAX TIME and I have been working at finding all the information and then making sense of it all week-end (which is while I'm doing my blog, haha) I am once more promising myself that I will be more organized next year which is why I have found a full size 12 pocket accordian file to keep my years business invoices in. I plan on starting next week, once the accountant has the tax information. Man oh man do I dislike tax time, can you tell? Stresses me out. I'm thinking I might have to go out for dinner tonight. hmm, have to think about that one. Have a happy, healthy week.
